The Texas Policy Lab is looking to hire a data scientist who would like to work on pressing policy issues and inform policy-making in Texas. If you have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, and have experience with machine learning or predictive modeling, we would like to hear from you.
We prefer candidates with
- Scholarly work in predictive modeling or machine learning.
- Demonstrable interest in public policy.
- Ability to articulate data science methods and approaches to a non-technical audience.
- Research interest in a substantive public policy area, such as criminal justice, child welfare, health, education or others.
