Undergraduate Student Intern

Spoorthi Kamepalli

Spoorthi Kamepalli is an intern with the Texas Policy Lab. She is a senior at Rice University, studying Social Policy Analysis and Art History, and is on the premedical track. Her research interests include economic and health policy, with a focus on public health issues. Prior to joining the Texas Policy Lab, Spoorthi held research positions at the Brookings Institution’s Schaeffer Initiative for Health Policy and the Baker Institute for Public Policy’s Science and Technology Program.

As an intern, Spoorthi’s duties include writing literature reviews, synthesizing data, and contributing to TPL reports. Outside of the Texas Policy Lab, Spoorthi is involved with Rice student government, service initiatives through the Center for Civic Leadership, and intramural sports on campus.
